Cabrillo National Monument

Cabrillo National Monument is one of my favorite places to photograph in San Diego. Perched high above the ocean on the Point Loma peninsula, it offers sweeping views of the coastline, downtown skyline, and distant mountains. I’m especially drawn to the intricate beauty of the tide pools, the golden light around the Old Point Loma Lighthouse, and the ever-changing skies above the Pacific.

I also love capturing the vibrant native plants and seasonal wildflowers that thrive here, often using my vintage lenses to bring out their delicate textures and natural charm.

This collection captures peaceful moments where nature and history come together. Whether it’s the soft glow of sunset, the texture of native plants, or the silhouette of the monument itself, I aim to reflect the calm and wonder this special place brings me every time I visit.
